Where do you buy them from?
Do you feel weird wearing them b/c of the connotations they have?

they have the connotation that they're unfashionable, dorky etc.

there was one Sex and the City epidode where they made fun of a woman for wearing one . . .

I also bought mine from tenderheaded.com. They weren't as soft as I'd hoped they'd be, so I use mine around the plastic bag when I do the baggie method. It is more secure than a regular ponytail holder, but they are not soft enough that I felt comfortable with them touching my hair. I haven't thought they were fashionable for at least 5 years now, so I don't wear mine outside my home. Same with claw clips. I wouldn't think someone was a mess if they chose to wear them, it's just not for me--if you find them attractive, I say wear them where you please :).

I wear my satin scrunchie underneath the scarf that I wrap my ponytail in. I do not wear them out out in public. I do wear a scrunchie alone when I workout at home. I don't think it is the scrunchie itself that is the problem, I think just the name "scrunchie" sounds kid like.

I will not wear a banana clip nor a claw, I personally think they look stupid but to each her own.

I'm not sure if you have a mall in your area but I get mine from Claire's Boutique. They have lots of neat colors and I rock all the time. :D

Tenderheaded.com is a great place to purchase, but I was lucky enough to find some at my local BSS and I stocked up. Glad I did because I haven't seen them there since!!

I don't mind wearing scrunchies at all, but the way I wear mine, it's pretty well covered up so you can only see a portion of it. Plus I only buy dark brown or black so it matches my haircolor and sort of blends in with my hair. I would never wear a bright color, or try to match my outfit (unless I had on black or brown :) )

I ordered mine from tenderheaded.com thanks to LCHF and just got them today! It comes in 3 different colors--red (gag), white (gag), and black (yay!). They're not bad looking. If need be I'll wear it in public instead of one of those elastic things that rip my hair.

Personally, I don't succomb (sp) to what the rules of other peoples definition of fashion is, like the not wearing of white in the winter etc....I usually rock what I fell good in.:)
Same here.

But for scrunchies, I would go with neutral colored ones.

The 99cent store always has satin scrunchies, I don't care what folks say about my scrunchies, I think they look cute on me, so that's all that matters, so I rock my scrunchies, year long...

I ordered mine last week from tenderheaded.com...I am loving my satin scrunchies! :) I have the colors---black, brown and Ivory.

I bought some silk ones last year from tenderheaded.com and they look great with my side buns. They are the biggest ones I have. I also have small satin scrunchies which I love too. I bought those, believe it or not, at a local grocery store for a great price.
