Hi.

How many out there are following the Cathy Howes Method to the tee? Are you doing exactly what she says or are you doing some things differently here and there? Are you using ALL of her products or none? I am trying to follow her method but I am having a hard time with the "comb your hair when it is dry" method. I also find her lotion to be a bit drying on my hair. Also, for all you working and so forth...how do you find time to wash every three days, deep condition, air drying AND still get some sleep to get up in the morning? Whew!

Just curious:look:

I'm following her method for three weeks. I mixed the conditioner from the recipe. I still trying to decide if I want to order her moisturizers. I never comb my hair when it's dry! That's trouble with a capital T. I look forward to washing my hair every three days. I love the conditioner. Usually I just try to do it early so that I don't have to go to wet with wet hair. Sometimes I just get it semi-dry, moisturize again, and ponytail. How long have you been following her method?

I just started "again" June 3rd. I love her dc also. I love the way it tingles my scalp! So you comb out in the shower? Not a lot of hair comes out? How far do you stretch your relaxer?

Hey newbies! Cathy's methods are great, stick with it and you'll reap the benefits. When I first started my hair care journey and prior to discovering LHCF I used this method with lots of success! And yes I love that deep conditioner, I've since found other products that work for me but Cathy's methods and products is a good place to start.

UBH is one of my staples. I have been using her products since Nov 06. I already had been using the common sense approach to hair. I just needed the right combo of Protein and Moisture. I can tell you that it has made a difference in the strength of my hair. There are now many products out there that work like hers. Many ladies on the board can offer their experiences with those But for now I prefer the UBH. I use her products as she directs but I do incorporate other products and practices on my hair since I have come to know how my hair responds.

I used to shampoo every 4th or 5th day....It is too long for me to handle ( well it ain't all that long)....But now I shampoo once a week.

I followed her methods more closely in the past, but have found that she has changed the formula on some of her products. I used to be in love with her deep conditioner, but she has changed the formula and now it makes the hair even harder (protein).

I get the gist of her methods and have simply found what works best for me. I don't think you have to follow her methods religiously to get good results. Just condition & moisturize the hair, and be sure to limit the amount of heat. Protective styles help also.

I started her method mid-May 2007. I like washing my hair every three days - since I also use the baggy method it cuts down on having to style my hair. I use my own conditioner, stimulant, oil etc. and have not used any of her products yet. :)

I follow her steps as well: she has also made modifications to her regimen as well: her Hair Care Tips are more updated on wat she does. I wash and style my hair on Monday (Sunday when I start school) and on Thursday I wash but air dry my hair into a ponytail so I can baggy my hair: I made my simplest wash day on the same day I have work or school. I use all her products and love them: I don't brush my hair either: i use a baby toothbrush though in replace of that. When you balance your hair w/ Cathy's Protein conditioner w/ ur own moisture conditioner: u'll be suprise how ur hair turns out. ~HTH~
