Is this safer than glue and sewing?

Wow!

I stopped wearing tracks a few years ago. I hated the glue and the thread always made my scalp itch.

This actually makes me want to consider giving them another try.

I've been thinking about this some more and I agree with you guys, Mook, Jennifer and Tye. A lot of people (like me) wont use weave hair because of the glue and string. Also there are a lot of us that can braid and would easily be able to apply these ourselves.

This company has a patent pending but if the idea catches on, I'm sure other manufacturers will be making a similar product for sale to the public. Well...at least I hope so!

On a similar note, I wonder if there's a way to modify regular weave track to make them braidable. hmmmm....

I'm confused. Is there extra hair coming out of the top of the weft that allows it to be braided in? I couldn't see how the braid was being attached.

Yes, it appears there is extra hair coming out the top. That extra hair is braided into the cornrow with the persons real hair.

I think you could modify the normal weft and do the same thing.

Whose going to try it???

you took the thought right out my head...i'ma pm u

wow i think even I can do this myself! It looks as if there is extra hair on the other side of the weft that is braided in. That is such a good idea. the thing is what kind of quiality that hair is. The curly ones look kinda :nono: i would like to try this with a pack of bohyme

I agree about the hair quality. :lachen:

Pretty neat idea, hmmm, I'd love to play with something like this. Think it'll be cute. But I gots no wefts to play with to see if I can attempt this LOL

If you do try it, report back and let us know how it worked for you!! Post pics if you can.:grin:

What if you took two tracks and sewed them together in a way that would duplicate this...used one to braid and one as the hair. So you would just need twice the amount of hair you would normally use.Hmmm:scratchch, I think I will have to try this.

y0u w0uldnt need twice as much hair if you split the tracks and glue them back 1 upside down but you'd waste hair bec if you get like 18" its gonna be strange to braid.. I asked abt these on BHM I guess no1 has tried it..

:bump:

bumping this old thread ladies please share your thoughts i think this is interesting.
has anyone tried to use ordinary weave for this method?
