Flaxseed oil gave me horrible hot flashes

Yesterday was the first time I took flaxseed and have experienced the first hot flashes in my life, I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and feeling super hot I was about to faint, no more flaxseed for me.

k, i think that happpended 2 me. I started getting those but when i ran out i never replaced and didnt put 2 and 2 together. Has anyone ever heraard of that before??

Strange, I think I read some flaxseed and it must be the 'inferior' brands might have hormones in them? Not sure, GOD only knows where that thread would be either, But NO Ive been taking it for years and never had any hormonal symptoms, only benefits

The best kind is Spectrum (I think thats the brand) I take it without the lignans , its a black bottle, refridgerated with an expiration date

Right now I'm taking Puritans Pride brand with no problems either

Flax should not cause hot flashes at all.

I took the nature bounty cold milled one like a flaky kind that you can sprinkle on cereal or whatever else. I also have spring valley capsule of flaxseed, but never tried it.

I'm taking the Puritan's Pride liquid flaxseed oil with no problems.

Well dont give up on it just yet, its too worth it to try something else

try a good quality oil instead of the flakes or seeds

you know what I just started taking flaxseed oil again. I've been consistent with it for the past 2 weeks and I have been noticing I'm gettin hot flashes and I'm only 24! I didnt think it might have been the flaxseed. The flashes arent very bad but I did have a a couple of them.
