I use to take this DAILY for months in 2009. I still have half a bottle left which I plan to start up again once I go back to school in a week.


Please tell me its a myth! erplexed

I didn't find that to be true. My hair was thick and glossy when I was taking it daily.

Ok so those articles aren't true. I really didn't know that. Thank you.
Also the only reason I found that article was because I first found the comment on another hair board. Some people had responded but weren't sure. Then someone linked that article.

I have to agree with the other ladies... I too take flax seed oil and I have not had a problem with hair loss and from all the things I've ever read flax seed oil is great for not just your hair but for your overall health.

Ethiopians have incredibly thick hair and they consume flax seed...I hope this ain't true!!!!!

I have only seen that info in that ezine article, and another baldness forum - then I did a ton more research and never saw anything but good things about flax seed. I put the oil in my hair and take it orally and have never lost any hair. hth!

I wondered if the hair companies that make growth treatments were the ones posting that stuff, being that flax seed is MUCH cheaper than those supplements/topical treatments.

I can tell you for a fact that's not true! I've been taking flaxseed oil for 14 years and i started taking it because my hair was falling out...it has helped tremendously and as you can see i'm not bald headed yet.

I will agree with the masses. This is a tall tale of epic proportions.

I cannot say while using flaxseed in any form has caused hair loss.

maybe if you drank it by the truckload if people do too much it can flood the body with estrogen like soy.....i lurves my flaxseeds and i ain't giving em up!!!
