lol.......I take supplements but wouldn't know what to tell you about "direct" hair results :perplexed, I take it for it's 101 benefits overall.....:look: :lachen:

I've taken flax oil tablets inconsistently for a year. I've been taking them diligently with fish oil tablets for a month. Are you talking taking flaxseed oil topically or orally?

Fish oil is supposedly better in many respects because it contains more Omega 3's (EPA and DHA). I take Flax seed oil because it contains ALA which is one of two fatty acids that the body needs and cannot make for itself.

I've noticed smooth skin and a nice sheen to my hair.

I've been putting 1tbsp per day in my daily protein shakes consistently for about 2 months. My scalp dryness and flakiness has pretty much gone away. Also my eyes look shiny and my skin overall looks better.

I've been taking the cold-pressed flaxseed oil for over 10 years. I originally started taking it when i was losing weight and my hair fell out because i was eating too little fat. A nutritionist told me that your body requires a certain amount of essential fatty acids. The oil does help for having healthy hair, but it also boosts your immune system (i haven't had a cold in over 9 years), lowers your cholesterol and keeps joints healthy.

I take Flaxseed, Borage, Omega Oil Capsules...I have taken them consistently for about a year and a half. It has definitely made my new growth softer/shinier ...my skin is more moisturized not to mention the health benefits...

To those of you that replied..I wuv you :giveheart:{wipes snot }

I read vets have always given this to animals to make their coats shine.

My joints will benefit too :dance7:

I take it but not really for my hair. I will take notice now. lol I can tell you one thing...eating alot of salmon makes my hair very oily!

I use ground flax seeds for my morning meal with all my cereals or oatmeal. Ive been using it for a year and a half now off and on. Health benefits for other than just my hair though

Just looked at your fotki........Body on point! :notworthy

Flaxseed is reported to make the new growth softer as it comes in and some have said that it has changed the texture of their hair slightly - not sure how true that is!

I was taking it (inconsistently) for a period - the actual liquid which is so much more potent that capsules, but lawd it's difficult to take as it tastes foul! :nono: I might will myself to try it again in the summer season.
