Flat twist ....

has anyone had experience with them? My friend/braider is doing them on Friday just like the picture in the link below. I want to know what results you have them, how long did it last and was it easy to take? TIA

Goodness, that style is pretty. I gotta try it. I mostly do 2 strand flat twists. I keep mine for 1 wk. They'll prolly last longer, but I take 'em down just to poo my scalp.

Wow, that style is very pretty. I had mine done almost exactly like that a couple of years ago with my own hair and it looked really nice. Much more feminine than the cornrows I had been wearing. They were easy as pie to remove as well. I think I kept them in for a little over a week.

Kathy May, I have done flat twists such as these on myself and others. They take very well and I find them relatively easy to do. Using a soft gel or other holding agent makes it easier to control the twists as you're making them. I rarely keep any hairstyle more than a week, but I'm sure they can last a couple of weeks with the proper care.
