I have been having this problem for a while now. It has gotten worse. I currently wash my hair every three days due to this problem. My scalp if very flaky. My dandruff will not go away. I have tried everything I can think, prevaeu(sp) t-tree, oils, nexxus dandraress, sulfer8 and more. I know it's an issue for the dermatologist. I have an appointment on July 27. I just want a little help until then. When I got home after work on yesterday, I looked in the mirror last night, I was like  . I had what looked like a bowl of corn flakes in my head. I know my co-worker were probably saying, "She needs to wash her hair!"

yes, nexxus dandrarest

if the shampoo isn't doing its job maybe u could try leaving it out...the most recent thing i have read about shampoo off this site as that it can make a dry scalp worse....

Nioxin Scalp TReatment (Cleanser and Conditioner) should do the trick. I would try to clarify with Suave Clarifying Shampoo...do an ACV rinse and then head for the Nioxin. That helped my scalp alot. I think the clarifyer will help with product build up. Also try using HONEY and EVOO as a PRE POO to give your scalp some needed moisture.

I used to have this issue really badly. Id wash every 3 days also. I think it was because i tried to do cowashes and this would cause buildup which would flake. also another reason was because i attempted to 'grease' my scalp with ORS carrot oil and this itched and flaked like CRAZY!!! I upped my water intake which helped me out a bit. But the best thing that REALLY Noticeably instantly helped me(2weeks) was taking a flaxseed oil caplet once every 2 days. I must WARN you that flaxseed is a known 'natural' laxative. So i would not use no more than once every 2 days. I used to use every 1 day and i had stomache cramps. and I learned that my scalp does not like nothing put on it including oil or anything or it'll itch badly after day 2. Oh, and get rid of the stress!!! that should help ya! :)

Trying doing pre treatment with evoo followed by Nizoral 2% prescription shampoo it work great for me.
