so im getting a sew in as a protective style this upcoming weekend. im going to get a very simple short do... very very similar to my natural look so no one should hopefully tell the difference. is there anything i need as far as preparation? how often do i wash? what do i do with my braided hair? do i grease my scalp? or just leave it alone? i understand i still wrap my hair.... but what else??:drunk:

i will be taking my supplements:
gnc hair skin and nails
vitamin shoppe biotin 5mg
miracle 2000 multi vit

along with putting minoval drops every other day... what other hair growth aids do others use?? i plan to keep it in for about 6weeks at least.. maybe 8 if i can last that long. when i wash i plan to just do cowashes? .... is that okay? i dont wana use shampoo for the fact that i might not be able to get it all out if it gets into my braids on my scalp.

then as far as working out? .. can i work out? yes right:yep:? i could just go cowash to avoid buildup right? im sry for the 21 questions? i just dont want to do anything wrong in the sense that ive read and heard many negative weave trials.. where ppls hair have fell out.. and weakened as well as thinned out..:nono:

just wana be cautious.

Hey. I wear weaves all the time. You can pretty much do whatever activities you like while wearing it. I'm a frequent shampooer but I recommend to all of my clients to keep it in no longer than 8 weeks and to do a weekly shampoo. I take an applicator bottle and put shampoo in it and dilute it with water and I put that in between the braids. I make sure to massage it just a little and rinse very well. I do the same with the conditioner.

Co washes are just fine to do as long as you rinse the conditioner well. Make sure to dilute it before you put it between your braids. You can use straight conditioner on the actual extension hair.

I have been using the Ovation Cell Therapy as a growth aid and it has worked wonders for speeding up my growth rate.

Please, there is no need to grease your scalp that will just make a sticky nasty buildup and make the take down process a mess. See that's were most go wrong. Their hair will grow wonderfully while in the weave but they mess up the taken down and wind up losing more hair in the process. Weaves are great for growing hair as long as they are properly maintained and taken down properly. HHG
