Hair product junkie reloaded!
So I got some twists done las night. Only took about 2 hours and a half and they look nice. I also noticed that I had a lot of growth since last time I got twists (I think in october). When I got twists the first time, I paid 60 at a salon, but this girl chaged $35---in both instances, I washed my hair prior to coming. This girl also does other stuff like briads with extensions(charges frm 70 to 100 to do those and she said she takes 6 to 7 or so hours) and she herself has natural hair. She even walked me to the main light when I left cuz it ws late at night and I was scured....that area may be safe but it just has thise eery look about it.....anyway, it was about 11 at night so I was glad she walked with me.....also called me when I got home, which was around 12ish due to my havin to wait forever for the bus.

Anyway, I really like the twists and they are just small enough..with corn rows in the front. I think I may have found "my stylist"....great thing aobut personal stylist is that you don't "feel" obliged to tip because you alrady know they are getting 100 percent of the profits without having to give up part of it to a salon. I am pleased and no i dont have pics yet..haha!

Glad to hear you had such a great experience with your indie stylist. They may not offer all the conveniences of a salon, but when it comes to natural hair styles especially, an indie stylist can be your best bet. The main thing to be concerned about in either case is proper sanitation. Please post pictures if you can.
