Firstly, congratulations on being able to stretch for that long! Thats awesome!!! :D

Secondly, i definitely feel you on wanting to cut to get that blunt, even look. Although I definitely do see growth in ure Before/After pics, no doubt you could have seen more had you allowed it to stay uneven/lopsided. So i commend you on that decision to even it up, because many of us would have had a hard time doing that! (*raising hand* )

With that being said, your hair looks healthy and thick, and you have now proven to yourself that you are capable of stretching for a super duper loooong time!!!! Happy Continued Hair Growth, and i cant wait to see the next set of progress pics! APL here you come!!!!!! ;)

Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on your stretch! Your hair looks beautiful! What helped you to make it through to 18 weeks?

Congratulations!! 18 weeks is phenomenal!! I struggle to stretch for 14 or 16 weeks. That's awesome!!! Excellent progress! :clapping:

Thanks guys for the nice compliments.

Christa I made it through my stretch by co washing my hair at least every 3 days the first month and, using kiniKakes wash method of braiding my hair wet and just letting it dry. ("shout out to kini thank you girl")
The next month I wore 2 strand twists that I did not wash ("I found out during my last stretch that washing made the twists come out"). I just took them down every 2 weeks or so and deep con'ed my hair than re twisted. The 3rd month I put in the C & G braids I was going to only ware them for a month but I got lazy lol

The 2 strand twists and C&G's helped but, if there is a next time though
I'm not betting on it (I start school in the fall to become a medical assistant) I will do 2 strand twists only no C&G's and still Kini's method.

I only planned on going 14 weeks last time. This time I only plan on going 12 but with me becoming busy with both kids in school and myself and a house to run we will see.

And Kini your right I do regret cutting my hair a little bit. Only so I could have seen how much length I would have had this stretch but no more cutting for me!
I want all my length now lol

18 weeks, that is great! I wish I had the courage to do a trim like yours I haven't had one in over a year. Happy growing and I look forward to seeing some more pictures of your progress in the future.
