make sure that the braids aren't too tight around your edges. mine were so tight that it pulled my hair out by the root. also, when they seal the ends of the braids, make sure that they do it correctly! the people who did mine sealed the braids with nail glue, and i wound up having losing some length because i had to cut my real hair to take them out.

y'all are so sweet!
i know that i'm going to reach my hair goals one day. my hair has grown so much and has gotten much healthier in just the few months that i've been here already. it was sad how much i didn't know about my hair until i joined this board. now i'm doing it the LHCF way: taking hair vitamins, avoiding direct heat, eating lots of protein, washing more often, drinking water, and surging.

Y'all are all hair inspirations to me!

Those braids were the worst thing I've done to my hair! I cut about an inch in some places to take them out, and they ripped my edges out horribly. I will never, never, never get braids that small again.
