i know that peachtreee used VO5 hot oil and african royale hot 6 oil and her hair is gorgeous. also you can create your own. i think carmenrose has some recipes in the recipe board for hot oil treatments. you can use extra virgin olive oil with some other oils and use it like that. i know some use castor oil as well. hth. God bless you all.
oh yes, definitely ION hot oil treatment and also Proclaim hot oil treatment, I love them and they smell so.o.o.o.o.o good in my hair even after my hair is dry

*Hot Oil Hair Treatment
# Of Applications: 1
Prep/Application Time: 0:25
2 Tables. Olive oil
1 Tables. Honey
-Combine oil and honey in small plastic sandwich bag.
-Fill a coffee cup with water and heat until almost boiling.
-Dip sandwich bag in water just until oil is warmed.
-Apply warm oil to dry hair, working from scalp to tips.
-Cover your head with a shower cap and leave for 15 minutes.
-Wash hair as usual.
NOTES: While hair is conditioning, hop in the shower or bath. The warmer the oil stays, the better it works!
Olive Oil with Keracare Essential Oils (sunflower seed oil, peanut oil, castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, sesame oil, aloe vera oil, almond oil, olive oil, perfume, propylparaben BHA). $11 bucks a bottle (DANG) but im too lazy to mix all of these separately and a little goes a long way.
I like the honey/olive oil mixture and the DeJoli mixture that my mom and I put together from a bunch of recipes (all on the recipe board)..My hair has never been better as a result..
I use Olive Oil & jojoba oil mixed with Burt's Bees Avocado Butter. I like the texture and the smell. I may try mixing some honey in, but I'm always running out of it since I use it for so many other things!!
i was going to pick up the vo5 but the places i went i saw it for like 3 something. maybe its been a long time but when i used to buy vo5 i dont remember paying 3, 4 dollars for it. is this the going rate? i hate to feel like i am paying more than i should. God bless you all.
Currently, I'm enjoying flavors of the month Coconut Oil and Carrot Oil mixed as my favorite hot oil treatment. But who knows what it will be next month?
Well, my favorite hot oil treatment is just plain ole olive oil also. I had a problem with dry scalp/dandruff. Since I've been doing this treatment I no longer have problems with dandruff.
