I need some new inspiration for a Deep conditioner. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards getting Biolage conditioning balm or that Neutrogena triple moisture stuff again. I've used both in the past and I can't remember how they worked for me :nono:. But I do remember liking them to some extent.

I'm also working with a budget (code for "I'm broke!") so anything waaaaay expensive is out!

I desparately need to get back on my weekly DCs. Thanks ladies!

My vote goes to ORS Replenishing Pak hands down. Not every week though. But it's always just enough moisture/protein balance for me.

If you don't want to invest in the big bottle you can buy the individual packs for about $1.29.

I use Aubrey Organics White Camelia as a DC I used to use their HSR, but the other one seems bett ero me. That's one option.

Yep w/hairsnob -Organic Root Stimulator Replenish, they have a pack, and I think a 8oz, and I think a 24 oz.

I also like Silicon Mix

ORS Replenishing Pak
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
Silicon Mix
NTM Daily Deep or NTM Mask
Verifen Complex
Motions Moisture Plus
Affirm 5 in 1 Reconstructor
Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment

Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment is the best inexpensive DC I've ever used! NTM Deep Recovery Mask is second and ORS Replenishing is probably third for me (I don't consider this to be a protein).

I have a couple

Ors Replenshing conitioner
Pantene Relaxed and Natural deep conditioning Mask
Wen Fig
Giovanni silk deep deep conditioner ( i think thats what its called)

ORS hair mayo (light protein)
ORS replenishing condish/pak (light protein)
Silk Elements MegaCholestrol conditioning treatment (moisturizing)

Can buy at Sallys or local BSS

ORS can be found at any drug store, bss, or sally's. Neutrogena would be at a drug store. Silk Elements is sold exclusively in Sally. Giovanni and Pantene can be found at any drug store (Target, Meijer or Walmart may have a better selection). Aubrey Organics can be found at Whole Foods. Aussie and Motions should be at drug stores as well but you may have to get the Motions from a bss.

Silk Elements is the only conditioner I use for DCing. It is great and inexpensive. NTM is good too. ORS is okay, but I have to mix this one with oil. It is drying (at least for me).

LeKair Cholesterol conditioner. You can get it for dirt cheap at Walmart (in a "black" area) or any BSS.

Nexxus Hydrating Treament (believe thats the name)
Bee Mine DC
...both are expensive especially when i have to budget myself when i get back to school so im subbing this thread to get some cheaper alternatives.

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Silk Elements and how much I liked it...I may have to give that another go, too.

I've always wondered about Giovanni. I've been seeing it pop up in other threads. Has anyone tried their leave-in? I think I'm also in the market for a new leave-in. I think my Cantu is drying me out!

Not really trying to give you a list so i'm going to say go with the GVP Conditioning Balm(Biolage) It's really good...slip(B/c of moisture) and plenty of moisture. I loves it.

ITA. I DC with the SE Cholesterol every week and it leaves my hair so silky!! :lick:

i tried silk elements before my HHJ and i remember chunks of me and sisters hair coming out and i never used it again, i want to try the DC but im scared but i think ill be better prepared now that i understand moisture and protein balance. has this ever happened to you guys??

ORS was my favorite for a while, but the company changed the ingredients:wallbash: so the paks are the original and the larger bottles are 'updated' aka cheaper ingredients:ohwell: So stick w/ the paks!

Right now I'm lovin' up on Aussie Moist Condtioner...it literally melts my tangles away and leaves me w/ soft, lovely fragranced hair every time:yep:

The Paks are exactly the same the places I've been to. I think it's a situation like CON. You can find the old formula but they aren't making it anymore...I havent contacted the company I'm just assuming based on what I've seen.

If you are looking to not spend alot of money I would go with the ORS PAK :yep:

Very good Deep Conditioner~ IMO :yep:

Thanks y'all. I saw someone say that the ORS pak is protein based...if that's so, is it safe while I'm Megatek-ing?
