What's your favorite DR hair product? I read a lot of good reviews on Avacado conditioner. The only thing that's holding me back is where to get it. This is where Chicago people need to speak up *lol*. Should I head up to the Humboldt area to get it or somewhere near the north side? If their's none then I will just order it from Uptown BSS in NY. Thanks in advance.

you should try the stores in nyc cause i think they the main ones that carrys it or you can ask if you have a dominican frriend to bring you some if she has

i have no idea where to get it in chicago. i've been looking myself.

Two of my favorite Dominican hair products are 10 en 1 Super Rinse by Miss Key and Lafier Honey and Almond Rinse.

I've only tried a few. But I really like Tropical Avocado conditioner (the real one from the DR), Tropical Milk & Honey conditioner and Nacidit Olive Oil conditioner.

So my question is..do they sell these products in a regular BSS or is ther ea special spot where one can purchase them? in New York

Ladybug, there is store downtown bklyn that has EVERy dominican product called Just For Me. You can take the train (2,3,4,5 any one) to Nevins st. The store is on Fulton St. and I think Flatbush.

Salerm 21 leave in conditioner
Salerm and Alfaparf - leave in (those that come in the glass bottles)

Yes!!! I need to get another bottle.... Does that come in a green box? and u have to add drops in your hair?

Ive never saw that anywhere except the shops and I dont wanna go uptown just to buy it esp. if Im notgonna get my hair done..

Butterscotch - where oh where do you find the lacio lacio? I can't find this stuff ANYWHERE! And I almost NEVER say that!

Zoe - the alfaparf I got at the Beauty Show in March when they were at the Jacob Javits (half off! for the case)

Same goes for the Salerm - I have the reconstructer, the Bio (whatever) and some other one.

Its worth it to break down and buy the case for a few dollars rather than have the salon charge you 5.00 a pop.

The Salerm 21 is the white/creme colored bottle (about 8.00) and it says 21 on it.

I thought Salerm products were from Spain. I wonder where I got that idea from.

I didn't know that.

Daviine they are from Spain. My hairdresser told me that most Dominican Salons use professional products from Spain and from the Dominican Republic. I guess people just automatically think they are Dominican - I know I did.

I just wanted to thank those who took the time out to help me out. Unfortunately I don't think there is a big population of Dominicans in the Midwest so I'm going to make a list and pray by some devine miracle that I'll get to NYC or Florida for that matter in the near future. Thanks again.

Can you purchase DR products online? Also, I found this hair recipe for tropical conditioner and wonder if it's comparable to DR avacado conditioner:

Tropical Conditioner
1 avacado (peeled)
coconut milk

Combine mashed avacado with coconut milk. Mash together until smooth and thick as shampoo. Comb through hair and let sit for 10-15 minutes then wash out.

are there any stores in LA where i can find these products?

Do you have any Spanish stores near you in the LA area? I went to a little Spanish store near me, and I stumbled onto a lot of Dominican products (in Virginia). I was quite happy and surprised.

I'm in California, San Bernardino County. I am dying to try Dominican products. If any finds out where I can get these, please let me know. I will go to San Diego or L.A to try these...Also if i find them n the area, i'll post it to let everyone know.
