I've seen so many good things on the board about this product....but I'm not sure how to use it. I have 4a/4b natural hair (mostly 4b) and it's about 3 inches when stretched. How would I apply to obtain curl definition?
I usually go through my whole wash day routine and then add a leave-in conditioner - something that combats frizz is what I use - and then take small sections and rake and smooth through my head. Some times I add some Noodlehead before the Fantasia for hold and to combat shrinkage. Fantasia IC is my favorite!
when i had scab hair my hair really didnt curl. but after it was cut off i didnt really need anything for curl definition, it curled on its own. to define my curls more i use redken smooth down leave in. it leaves my wash and go's so moisturized sometimes i would use a quarter sized amount and rub it in the palm of my hands and distribute it all through my hair. and use a little more if needed. to make a mini puff or puff i would just use a quarter sized amount of fantaisia ic gel to lay back my edges and define my waves. hope this helps
I use it like seximami mentioned by defining my waves in the front when making a mini puff/muffin top. I honestly tried the rake method but I think that my hair was just to short at the time.
