I use it all the time, and I've never experienced that. I used it on wet and dry hair, but never had any problems with flaking. idk

I had that happened to me.....so I put some coconut oil in it...and i don't get that problem anymore.

this usually happens when you use a product under it. certain products don't mix/blend with it. what else did you use?

Hmmm I may have to try it.

it happened to me only once (i use the clear one) and it was because of one of the other products in my hair.

Maybe that could be it. I think I had Mango Butter in my hair. However, I wouldn't put any kind of gel in my hair w/o having a moisturizer in it first.

...Doesn't flake my behind!
I only used it twice. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are you using it along with a spray activator or leave-in? That might be the problem if you are. Condition the hair well then go straight to the gel. You probably don't need a leave-in with it. I heard that Kinky Curly Custard had the same problem with the spray-on.

It's the mango butter. It happened to my sis before, luckily it was a small patch.

It doesn't mix well with some conditioners and leave ins. Whatever you had in your hair got caught up in those sparkelite things and made white gummy clumps. You also can't put creamy products on top of the gel. Like that Cantu Shea Butter Leave in. It doesn't mix well with the fantasia gel.

i had the exact same issue. i was using a leave-in that was too "creamy." now if i'm going to use the gel i use a light leave-in and seal w/ coconut oil and there is no white build-up at all.

Yea ive had it happen to me but i love this gel also compared to other gels...i think it is because of the products you have also on top of it that is leaving the flakes...ive been contemplating buying it again but im trying to use up the products i have before i buy anymore...

Oh yes, the infamous Fantasia IC gel HAIR BOOGERS
I used to get that if I mixed that gel with Kid's Organic Shea Butter. I stopped using Fantasia IC gel because I couldn't mix it with just any conditioner.

I agree with glamazon. You have to be careful with which leave-in conditioners you use. It works well with my Elucence, TJ Nourish, and Giovanni Direct....but it's horrible with let's say, Herbal Essences.

I agree! Also try NTM leave in or Lush soft hold gel :yep:

I used the clear one not the blue. I never had a problem with flaking or dryness. It actually was a good moisturizing gel for my hair when I was natural and texturized. As far as leave in I use Nexus Humectress as a leave in with no problems.

Me and my mom use the clear kind and we dont have a problem. I even use a creamy moisturizer under it. But we only use the gel on out edges....
