Will the teeth from the comb attachments cause damage to your hair? Or are you safe as long as you pull the attachments out gently making sure not to rip through the hair?

You do have to be careful with those, but I don't the combs could cause significant damage unless you're being negligent with them or rushing.

I prefer to buy a bag of wefted hair and wind it around my plaited ponytail and pin it down like that. Much more secure this way too.

My sister had major breakage from wearing a ponytail with a comb attachment everyday. She had to cut off quite a bit of hair. But, then again, she was wearing it everyday for quite some time. I prefer the drawstring kind myself.

Karonica, what is wefted hair? I wanne try something like this so I can wear a baggie when I do my buns.

It's the type of hair that you use for sewing tracks. It has the line on if for sewing and attaching to cornrows, as opposed to regular braiding hair.

I don't think you can use the baggie with a wrapped around, wefted pony tail. Basically you are taking your own hair placing it into a bun. Then you take the weft of hair and start wrapping it around the bun and securing it with bobby pins. I actually found that method broke my hair off.

Oh I see... Thanks Candycane. The thing is I can only do my phony ponies on the weekends because of military restrictions. I admit, becuase my hair is usually damp, my buns leave a little to be desired. Not raggedy or anything, very neat, but not as full as I would like. I've been thinking about getting a premade bun attachment. But I definitely do not wanna risk any type of breakage, ya know
