Hey, ladies,

It has been awhile since I posted but I am in a quandry and don't quite know what to do.

As some of you may know, I have 4a hair that does not play when it comes to relaxer time, but since I take MSM and all these other vits (see siggy), my ng has actually been manageable. And right now, I am 10 weeks post! I have been wearing my hair in bantu knots twistouts and it has been pretty cute!

I have become fascinated with my "wavy" ng, and am seriously considering letting it go natural for a few months and see what it looks like. The only thing is, I have some ends that need to be trimmed, and I am trying to get to full SL by 1/08; it's about collarbone SL (new term :) right now.

Should I just get it relaxed and then decide at my "anniversary" or should I just take the plunge and see what happens???

HELP!!!

I'm not saying do this, but this is what I would do if I were you. I'd trim the ends that need trimming coz they may just hamper your progress. I know if I don't trim my hair, I can forget about seeing growth coz the ends thin so much that in the end I have to chop off a lot. So ends that need trimming have got to go!)

Next, I'd not relax. Why? Because if I decided to transition later on, starting that journey much later would just mean taking forever to get to my goal. Being where you are, I'd already be halfway into the journey meaning I'll have a length I can do stuff with when I decide to be fully natural.

On average your hair will grow 1/2 an inch a month. So you'll gain about 2 inches or so by Jan 08. Also it's probably longer than you realize but because of the curl, it falls higher than you'd like.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just continue to do what you're doing that's making your hair a joy to deal with. You'll reach your goal sooner than you expect.
