is thick hair (i.e thick hairstrands) more resilient to heat than very thin hair?

if i so much as just accidently pull on a hair strand it breaks off immediately. so ive decided my hair is just very weak.

should ppl with very fine/weak hair avoid heat for the rest of their life? because of the weakness/thinnes of their hair?

I don't think so. I have fine/thin hair myself. I limit the amount of heat and how many times I use heat on my hair. The only time I used an excessive amount of heat is when I did the Chi Keratin Treatment and followed the instructions. Other than that, I either do roller sets or I flat iron and then wrap my hair the rest of the time to keep it straight.
