EXTREMELY dry scalp and touch ups?

heres the deal, I have been really busy and kinda neglected my scalp oiling regimen pretty much this winter so I have some dry patches all over my scalp. I let my hair grow out for about 5 months so I have lots of new growth and I would like to get a touch up today while I have an appt with a pretty good stylist. Should I go through with it? Any advice on help to prep my scalp? Is there any danger of my hair falling out?

I think you should be okay. I have a really dry scalp as well, and I make sure that I oil it very well the week before a touch up. You can ask your stylist to base your scalp and let her know that you are concerned because it is really dry.

thank you so much for your response, it turned out beautifully! i oiled my scalp really well with chi silk insusion and the stylist base it very well with akbari scalp coditioner. my hai has grown so much , i'm now mid back legnth YAY!
