here.... but i'm not here
I'm asking because I have a debutante ball that I have to be in on saturday, and I just chopped some of my hair off, and I apparently didn't plan my haircut around then.

Is it safe to do both.

and the lady who is doing them, I think she only does glue ins.

Nay!

Could you just get your hair flat ironed, and some clip in or sew in extensions?
Glue in ones are supposed to be bad.

Or just the relaxer and no extensions?

Nay! The hair is way too weak the day of the relaxer............ can you possibly relax sooner, like today or tomorrow. At least that way you can give your hair a rest for a few days before the extensions.

I'm gonna say no. Your hair is too fragile. You should wait a week or two after a relaxer. Also a nay on the glue.

I could try to wait until wednesday for the perm, key word try, because I've been scratching like crazy all day today and this past weekend.

hmm, would the clip-in kinds would also be a hazard?

btw, thank y'all for y'alls reponses.

Don't do it. Bad, bad idea. Can you possibly skip the relaxer and just get a sew-in? Glue will most likely cause damage. Can you flatiron your hair straight?

I say nay, also. Your hair will be too fragile/weak after the relaxer to withstand additional tension from the extensions, imho.

Well I gotta tell you from experience that glue-ins are THE WORST. I used this method faithfully for years and ended up with bald spots throughout. However, it wont necessarily ruin your hair if you're only doing it once and it is installed and removed properly (ie- not too much glue used to install & conditioner and EVOO saturated to remove...carefully).

Clip-ins won't be a hazard, nor will sew-ins for that matter, but you shouldnt use them the day of a relaxer because your hair will def. be way to fragile. So you should relax a couple days before. So stop scratchin that scalp and base it real well so that the relaxer doesn't further irritate the scalp when you apply it.

see this would the first time for me using entensions in general, and I may get them again for prom (next month)

But I always use my natural hair for special things, but I ended up getting my hair cut too close this time.

I'll try to get the perm Wednesday.
