Here are the issues:
1. Major breakage in the back from stretching a relaxer too long (12 weeks). I also experienced severe shedding. Aphogee made it worse.
2. My hair is verrrrry dry. What can I try to remedy this?
3. I have had good results with MSM, biotin and Rexall's Hair, Skin & Nails supplements.
4. My hair is basically nape of neck length; as a result, I abuse heat.
I need the experts to weigh in .

MHO-long
I think the Aphogee was too much at this point, it's protein and they can be drying if you don't have enough moisture in your hair. Try some moisturizing deep conditioners do some treatments under a warm wet towel or hair steamer if you have one. Deep condition 2-3x/week then less often as your hair gets better. conditioner only washes.
Cholesterol or NTM maybe, if your Organic-Olive you and honey cond by myhoneychild, Oyin handmade's whipped shea, aubrey organics island naturals conditioner, carols daughter-hair smoothies.
Use a water based daily moisture spray, and do protective styles no wearing it down, minimal manipulation for a while. You have to try and blend the 2 diff. textures so breakage doesn't happen. Some ladies use a good leave in and tie a scarf around their head to flatten down the new growth, braid twists, or blow out-but since you said your hair is dry don't blowdry or flat iron-no heat either now. and keep up with the vitamins and drink enough water daily. hth
