What are some good deep conditioners that do not contain petrolatum, mineral oil, cones, or other things that coat the hair???

I currently use LeKair Cholesterol Plus w/ Hot6Oil and found out that it coats hair. I notice when I first apply it, it feels somewhat drying to my hair even though it's good for detangling my hair. After heating under a hooded dryer, it makes my hair feel good but after I wash it out, my hair feels somewhat like straw and coated. I never thought about this, I was just thinking "since I'm deep conditioning, I'm doing something good for my hair" not realizing that this cholesterol w/ oil doesn't really do anything for my hair. :ohwell:

I've learned from this forum that you should deep condition so I would like to know of a good conditioner that doesn't coat hair. I want a deep conditioner that I can use that will allow moisture to permeate my hair and reach the cuticle layer.

Thanks in advance!

I find that LeKair is good for conditioner washes only. Queen Helene with Ginseng is good for conditioner washes along with hot oil treatments, but I try to avoid heat with either, especially in the winter months. Perhaps if you try washing your hair with LeKair and add a teaspoon of baking soda after sitting under a dryer it will put moisture back into your hair without coating it.

ORS moisture replenishing paks with marine proteins...this stuff is full of natural ingredients and it really moisturizes and strenghtens your hair...it only comes in the packets. UBH's deep conditioner has peppermint oil in it along with other natural ingredients...for me it stops the breakage immediately.:)
