Ex texlaxers: How did yall BC???

I bc'ed about a two months ago and I use to tex-lax. I found it really difficult..and I still feel like I may have chemical in my hair. How did you all get rid of all the perm/relaxer??

I did it when wet. I'm pretty sure I still have some spots left that I esp. notice after I wash my hair. In the back of my head the two textures were very similar so it was hard to be sure.

I BCed last week and I still have alot of straight ends. On top of that I have 3 textured hair, so managing it all is keeping me on my toes at this stage. My plan is to gradually cut off the straight ends each month perhaps, as my natural hair grows out, so that I can start afresh, regardless of what I plan to do next. For example, today I had more straight ends cut off and I can definitely see more of my natural texture, which responds differently to the products that I am currently using .
