Coils coils & more coils!
What is the best kind of brush to use? I use a wire brush most of the time, and the other one that I use has hard plastic bristles that are spaced closely together. Does Anyone have any recommendations on a specific brand...or type or brush that cuts down on shedding and breakage ?

Re: Everyone recommends a large tooth comb....but.

for me the most important step is the combing to detangle, the brush for me is just for smoothing it down once its all combed out.
boar brushes are good for your hair without breaking it , for smoothing it down....only for myself i needed a brush that was harder and reached my scalp to smooth it down, so i use a plain ole regular nylon brush...also the Denman brush is good for detangling

You can get a boar brush anywhere. Just look at the descriptions of the brushes. Plus they are not expensive,so don't spend over 3.50 for one!

In this month's issue of Allure, I read that a brush mixed with natural bristles and nylon tufts is best for reducing breakage, like Mason Pearson's Popular:

But it will run you about $115.

I myself have a super-soft boar bristle brush I got for less than $10 at Sally's Beauty Supply. I also use my husband's a lot, which is made of stiff boar bristles. I have no complaints about either.

Thanks for the recommendation ladies!
