I've used the relaxer, shampoo & cond, the leave-in cond in liquid and cream and also the setting lotion. I like the way it makes my hair feel. I'm very pleased w/ it. :)

I used the hair lotion, it's a green color lotion. It did nothing for my hair, it just sat on top of my hair and was very greasy.

I currently have a Design Essentials relaxer and I'm very pleased with it.

The Design Essentials Moisture Retention Shampoo is out of this world! It's got it all: smells heavenly, detangles, moisturizes, the whole 9. It seems like when I use this shampoo, no matter what conditioner I use afterwards, my hair comes out feeling so good.

The Stimulations conditioner is just average in my opinion. It smells nice and tingles. It detangles well also.

The HCO leave-in conditioner is pretty good, but not outstanding or anything like that.

I have the therapeutics leave-in in my collection, but have yet to try it out...
Someone on the board has raved about it in the past though.

The Design Essentials Botanical Oils are great--a favorite oil cocktail of mine.

The Silk Essentials serum is good, not great--reminds me of Biosilk.

The Diamonds oil sheen spray is one of the better oil sheens I've used. It's in my top 2 or 3.

Design Essentials is an excellent product line. I just stated in another thread it was my relaxer of choice. It wasnt harsh at all, I had lots of body, and my hair just looked healthy using it. The only reason I stopped using it was because when funds were low I couldnt go to the hairdresser and I couldnt get it on my own w/o a license.

I've tried several of their products. I absolutely LOVE their Therapeutics Rx Leave-In Conditioner. My stylist uses it on my hair when I'm months post and it detangles like a dream. I also really like their Botanical Oils, the smells and shine are great and it's not to heavy or greasy IMO. I also agree that the serum is good, and though it is comparable to Biosilk Silk Therapy, I prefer it over that.

I agree with the others on this product line. The Moisture Retention Shampoo, Stimulations Conditioner, and the Therapeutics Leave in are a great combination for soft silky hair. My favorite product in the line is the Reflections Liquid Sheen. It imparts a great shine and it works well with the Diamonds Oil Sheen.

Love the shampoo, stimulations conditioner and the serum combination. I also like the essential oil. I want to try the leave in.

It's a good product line, out of the products I've use by DE I do not like the HCO Leave-In. Just using a little made my hair feel coated and I've tried it a number of times.

i love the reflections spray
i like the therapeutics leave in

the hco leave in spray is terrible. i used it and my hair was all dry and shedding. then i realized it was chock full of heavy proteins, which was too much for my hair. My hair likes moisturizing leave ins.

I love the 6n1 reconstructor
DE Stimulations

I REALLY want to start using the relaxer but my stylist doesn't use it and I can't purchase it in a Beauty Supply store.

My hairdresser uses Design Essentials relaxer and I like it b/c it's less drying than Affirm.

I am thinking of switching to DE as my staple core of maintenance products. I keep hearing RAVES about the stimulations conditioner.

I plan to purchase the organic and moisturizing shampoos. Along with stimulations. Now the botanical oil....does it have a very nice scent? I think it was used on me a few years ago but I can't remember. Also, Silk Essentials - what IS it? A straightener?

CurleeDST - The scent of the botanical oil is okay, but I can't place it. It doesn't smell bad like WGO. Silk Essentials is a serum that locks in moisture and provides shine.

Hope that helps.

Does the serum have a smell? Once I was at a salon and they put it in my hair and something smelled soooo good. Almost fruity sort of but not too sweet. Very herbally refreshing fruity - if that makes sense. I can't place or remember which it was.

the products smell nice (oils and serum) imo. The only product I really don't like is the HCO leave-in conditioner. It made my hair hard.
