I won a FHI Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (Model 207) 1", off ebay last week and I am going to get a blowout this Friday and I want the hairdresser to used this flatiron because I hear that it's excellent with controlling the frizzies. I've brought my own conditioner before (and plan on doing it again Friday), but I wonder if bringing the conditioner and the flat irons is a bit tacky?

TIA

I don't think it is tacky. My sister who lives outside of Dallas does it sometimes. Well, she always gets rollersets and doesn't always have time to stay there and sit under the dryer. She takes her own rollers. Maybe it depends on how well you know your hair dresser too.

Thanks, that makes sense what your sister does.

The hairdresser I go to is very nice and he's very talkative but I don't know him that well. I think I'll call the salon and ask them. Thanks again.

You might be surprised! Every salon I have gone to in the past year has either a FHI,CHI, HAI or some other slim ceramic iron. You may want to call her to find out if she or someone else in the salon has one, just in case it MAY offend her if you brought your own. I would ask first.

Funny you made this reply just now...I just got off the phone with the beauty salon and I explained to the hairdresser that I want to bring my own flatiron because my hair reverts fast and he said it's fine. He doesn't have one but I bet he will invest in one when my hair comes out pretty.

P.S. I didn't know most salons were using ceramic tools?

Goes to show you how much I pay attention.
