Ok, ive stretched my relaxers out to every 12 weeks for the past year and a half and its been great! I notice my hair is thicker, healthier, and easy to manage (mostly) from start to finish. HOWEVER i two professional events to attend next week and a weekend social.

My last relaxer was May 24 (7 weeks ago) and rollersets are not doing the trick for me at all! Plus my hair was slightly underprocessed last time, so my hair is extra poofy! Can i cheat and jump the gun this ONE time? Is it too soon?

You all know how it is when you work so hard to keep your hair healthly and ONE thing you do messes all your progress up... I'm generally not a special occasion relaxer, but darnit.. i HAVE TO BE ON POINT next week!

Iwouold just rolleset my hair but its not working out too well for me right now. the difference in my rollersets at 7-8 weeks is the curls dont last too long and at the slightest site of humidity it just POOFS, with a fresh relaxer i have more flexibility and my haire stays bouncy.

No. I'm going to my family reunion in September. I will be 16 weeks post by then but I'm going to put some small box braids in and call it a day.

That's funny....I actually just did:lol:. I was about 8 weeks post though, my boyfriend invited me to his family reunion. I tried to do a blowout, it was great until I walked out of the house (Florida humidity!). I was going to just put in a sew in, but my SO said that his family would prefer to see my actual hair (especially his father!). So...I did a relaxer 1 month early. I was happy that I did, got many compliments on my length!

Since I am getting a corrective soon, I will be 6 weeks post at my sisters wedding. I don't want to have to relax at 6 so I am hoping to find some one in my area that does the mizani thermasmooth system and get a great blow out and an up do.

No, that would be useless to me. I'd just get it done or flatiron well myself. it's only one night.

Yes, just recently I relaxed because I would be undergoing surgery and I just did not want to have to deal with the two textures afterwards. So, a couple days before the surgery date I relaxed my hair. It had actually been a 7 or 8 month stretch and had it not been for that I would have continued on indefinitely.
