Ok i know this is gonna sound real extra but yesterday my ends were DRY! i straightened and i didn't dc for as long as i usually do and i blow dried (i usually try to rollerset, helps me retain more moisture). When straight I usually keep my hair moisturizer in my purse but i forgot it at home. I could feel my hair snagging on my clothes. sooooooo i put a couple drops of water in my hand and spread that on my ends, broke out a fish oil capsule, popped that with a paper clip and mixed with a dab of my nuxe reve to miel hand lotion and then spread that on my hair. Brushed through and i was good until i got home. what lengths do you go to for your hair?

lol - i've resorted to nivea hand cream before or lip balm if my scalp is dry, but never would have thought of using a cod liver oil capsule - that's a good one!

I've used a motions relaxer base for emergency moisture once, my hair was soaked at first but it dried soo soft

 Feels like every day I'm doing some MacGyver stuff for my hair. Not enough slip in my co-cleanser?...whelp, let's just throw some cones in there n make it Great! Huh...this butter is underperforming? Welp, let's just throw some AOWC, and castor oil in there!..all better!!

I'm at the point where Hubby ask's me what's next...what am I gonna throw in my hair next?? :lachen:

I always mix my grease with my light oils so if I use it to seal or I have to use it on my scalp it won't be that heavy

if the moisturizer isnt working for me I mix in my AB herbal oil

Last summer, when I visited my grandparents for the 4th of July, I was determined not to wash my hair (their water is well water, which has who knows what in it). With my trusty banana clip, I was able to style my hair in 3 different ways while I was there.

yeah I definitely have the Mac Giver in a lab syndrome, can't use a product the way it is, I always have to spice it up. In extreme situations (lol) I have bought 2-3 random cheap conditioners, mixed them and used the goop for everything.

You 'd be surprise what things could be used for. Back in the day, I don't know, but a good lotion to use on hair was Vaseline Intensive Care.

lolol luv the title..and yes..strategy and macgyver tactics are a must
for me its esp on vacay or away from home..u leave your tired and true product or accessory and your hair just aint looking right liek it would normally--u gotta get craftyyyy lolol

with the crazy eyes searching around for anything that can do..lol

i used cooking oil once and hotel conditioner sample bottle that i had in my purse when at a caucasian friend's house. i was stuck there in a snow storm.

ever since that i put some hair moisturizer, unopened olive oil, a scarf, and deoderant in the trunk of my car with an unopened toothbrush! i keep it next to my car care emergency tool kit!
