Just wondering which ones are you using and how are you using them. What kind of growth are you getting from them? I'm interested in using them.

Peppermint oil - add to conditioners (scent)
Rosemary oil - add to conditoners (strengthens & darkens hair)
Jojoba oil - add to wet or dry hair (seals moisture)

Thanks. I bought so many. Jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, pepperming and rosemary and I just don't know what does what or how to use them.

I only own lavender right now, I use it to scent my spray concoction for my braids which includes water, conditioner, and amla oil. I want to get some Rosemary and Jojoba.

These are exactly what I use...but I've also added safflower as a carrier oil because it's natural, humectant(holds moisture) and inexpensive

Question? Can any of these oils be used everyday? And which one stimulates the scalp for growth?

You can use it everyday, but not by themselves offcourse. The rosemary and peppermint is good for scalp stimulation and growth.

I use rosemary and peppermint mainly in my hair concoctions but also note that jojoba is not an essential oil. Its basically a wax but in the same category as almond oil.

Peppermint - I use in my protein conditioner mix

Rosemary, Lavender, Clary Sage, Tangerine - I use in my henna mix

You may want to go to the From Nature With Love website to get a description of the EOs and what they can be used for. There's a discount code on this site for that company.

I use jojoba oil every day on my face, and sometimes I use it to massage my scalp. I use eucalyptus oil when I'm sick. I put a few drops of it in boiling water, then I cover my head with a towel and put my head over the steaming water. I definitely can't wait to buy more EOs.

I'm sure you'll have so much fun experimenting. :)

Thanks everyone. I wanted to use something that I can use everyday. So which one would you say is most effective?

I am late but I use apricot kernel, jojoba, peppermint, tangerine and grapefruit oil. I use the apricot and jojoba in mix hmde mixes and the citrus ones for smell only.

cosigning on lavender and rosemary essential oils, both are good for itchy scalp and are believed to stimulate hair growth. I also love ylang ylang, which has a sweet floral/jasmine scent and is also believed to stimulate hair growth. I purchase mine from From Nature With Love and Mountain Rose Herbs.

I read this here so somewhere there is a thread that would be usefult o you on essential oils. I sent this to myself so I would always have it as I feel it good information. I hope you find it helpful.

A special mix of these particular essential oils has proven to grow hair at the same rate as Rogain...

Essential Oil Blend for Hair Growth

1. Thyme essential oil - 2 drops
2. Atlas cedarwood essential oil - 2 drops
3. Lavender essential oil - 3 drops
4. Rosemary essential oil - 3 drops
5. Jojoba oil - 1/2 teaspoon
6. Grapeseed oil - 4 teaspoons

Add the first four ingredients into a small glass jar. Mix well. Now add the remaining two ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Massage this mixture into your scalp for at least two minutes every night. Wrap your head in a warm towel after treatment.

Dermatologists at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland gave 43 people, suffering from a rare autoimmune disorder that causes patchy hair loss, the essential oil blend described above and asked them to rub it into their scalps daily. After seven months, 19 regrew as much as half of their hair, while a few regrew almost all of their hair back. The study was reported in the November/December 1999 issue of Health magazine. The researchers speculated that this remedy may also help other types of balding, including midlife thinning for men.

Oils of arnica, lavender, rosemary or calamus stimulate healthy hair growth. Rub into hair before washing.

Caution: Avoid rosemary oil if you have high blood pressure. Keep lemon and grapefruit doses low if you have sensitive skin, as they may be slightly irritating.

Thank you, very informative. I messed up and became heavy handed. Instead of putting drops, I was just pouring all together.
