When i moisturize and seal i have broken hairs is that normal? Its like after i place the product on my hair it breaks

My hair used to do that when I used butter to seal my ends. It means your ends are really damaged and you need a trim. I seal with the same butter now and have no issues.

Trim your ends and strengthen your hair with protein.

I agree with laidbak. Ends that break off that easily are already broken and shredded. The stickiness of the oil is most like manually breaking off compromised ends. If you can hold your hair up to the light in front of you, take a good look at them to see how far up the damage goes. Cut above the damage and do some protein treatments to strengthen the hair.

If you've never used protein before, don't use a hard protein. Start off with a light one, and see how your hair feels. The last thing you wanna do is give yourself protein overload, when trying to get your moisture/protein balance in order.

In addition to the above IMO, the oil could be too thick and/or you're handling your ends too rough. Castor for example is a very thick oil and can snap your hair if you don't handle your strands with care or cut it with another oil to lessen the thickness.

THIS!!!
When I first started out I suffered from protein overload many times. Start with something mild like Aphogee Two Minute Reconstructor. Use that once a month, then progress from there if that's not enough ( every other week, once a week, etc.)

1. trim your ends.

2. try a spray moisturizer and put some oil in the spray. (i use Shea Moisture Holding Mist - it is a light moisturizer) i add about 20 drops of olive oil to the spritz. that way i have both bases covered. do this until you get a good trim, etc. you can use something heavier when your hair is stronger.

2a. another good way to do it, it so spray on the moisturizer...like s-curl or the Shea Moisture Mist, braid your hair in two ponytails if you can or put your hair in four sections or put your hair in twists. (your choice depends on your hair length.) then put your oil of choice in a spoon or bowl. lightly dip your ends into the oil instead of rubbing it in. do this until you get a good trim.

3. do regular light protein treatments once a week or so until your hair is back in balance.
