What do you use it for and what benefits does it have? And how does it smell? I am thinking about buying a bottle.

I don't consider myself an "official" emu user yet cuz only used my last two washes but I love how my hair feels. I'm 4b, relaxed (actually texlaxed about 80%) and currently 9 weeks post touchup and I used emu for first time my last 2 washes (I usually wash once a week) after received sample and WOW, I immediately did some research and ordered more from www.wellnaturally.com. I use it neat without mixing with other oils as my final sealing oil after leave-ins on damp hair and then airdry.

My hair is shiner, glossier, and feels much smoother as well as the strands have more sheen then usual. With my henna, my hair is blinging of the hook with emu!. In addition, new growth nice, soft and manageable and just overall better hair days since I used. I only apply once a week after leave-ins. I have not applied in between washes and can state with awe that the gloss and sheen lasts at least a week!

I have not had this blinding sheen with other oils so will be using my beloved jojoba and castor for prepoos, condish, etc. and will continue with emu as final seal . . .

im just seeing this thread
I was doin a search on Henna Glossing and this was apart of the search:spinning: but since there was a (bump) with no replies..here goes :)

I use Emu oil ..i love it  it has a very faint chicken smell(to me) but not noticeable
I use it on my scalp about 3 to 4 times a week along with Jojoba, Grapeseed, some EO's and Folligen as a mixture.
I also add a drop or 2 on my face with my moisturer
When i have a wound or skin irritation after i disinfect it i apply Emu oil on it and it heals in no time.

Emu oil is a highly penetrating oil
It has healing and anti aging properties..
Increases the rejuvenation of new skin cells...
It also stimulates hair growth...
Awakens sleeping hair follicles
Makes the follicles more robust...
It is non-comedogenic meaning it does not clog pores...
And its a good good emulsifier

I use it on my hair when it's still damp. My mother has been using it for years and she uses for her arthritis and swears by it. Every day she rubs the sore areas until it's asborbed. I use it also on my children when they have nasty scar and it heals wonderfully and quickly. It has a very faint smell, but quickly dissipates.

I use emu oil shampoo...it works pretty good, too. Leaves my hair very soft, and it's not as drying as other shampoos tend to be on my hair...

Bumping. I am considering using EMU oil. I would like to know more about it. I will also research on my own!
