I just started using it, I bought it while I was out of town. It seems like I am always on the lookout for hair products, whenever I go out of town I look for hair stuff...SMH.

Anyway I have only been using it for a week, but I saw on another thread that it was a pusher oil and helps to push essential oils deeper into your scalp:confused:

I may have to do a search on that to verify it, because typing it out it doesn't sound very valid.

At any rate I bought it from the vitamin shoppe or some type of GNC style store I believe it had vitamin in the name:perplexed

Goodness..I hope this helps...I will be back with any other info I find on emu oil:)

Okay I am back...:D

I think the "pusher oil" statement is accurate. This is the information that I found:

Emu Oil is highly moisturizing, a natural skin softener and has rejuvenating properties ( has been shown to reduce the depth and length of fine lines & wrinkles ). It is also non greasy and highly penetrating. In fact Emu Oil has demonstrated to be the fastest and most penetrating oil into the skin, making it an excellent trans-dermal carrier for any other added moisturizers or therapeutic ingredients.
Emu Oil is natural & non-toxic, non-comedogenic (does not clog pores), hypo-allergenic (non-irritating) and gentle for all skin types.

Emu Oil is an effective anti-inflammatory. The potency of the anti-inflammatory effect from Emu Oil is similar to ibuprofen without the negative side-affects frequently common with traditional prescription or corticosteroid based anti-inflammatory medications.

I bought some emu oil a while ago from this couple that lives a few hours from me. They make it themselves on their farm which nearly burned down this summer because of a forest fire. Their cc processor wasn't working and they actually sent me the products COD. Anyway I love these guys and promote their business all the time. http://www.bcemu.com/oil.html (GREAT PRODUCT AND PRICES).
BTW: I have nothing to gain from hyping them up. They're just great people that deserve to do well.

This oil is definitely a "pusher oil" I don't know if it is the cold weather, the early morning cardio, or the emu oil, but my essential oils are still tingling:D :D :D They have been tingling all night...not in a bad way just very invigorating. The only thing is that it has a slight odor, it doesn't stink or anything it is hard to describe. It makes me feel a little sick to my stomach and I didn't even use that much. I may just put a little less in my mixture the next time around.

I got my last bottle of emu oil from the health food store. It was over by the coconut and castor oils.

I've been using Emu oil for about two years, no I don't notice any extra growth BUT my hair loves this oil, and so does my face and nails.

Luv it...Luv it...Luv it! It is definitely a carrier oil. I used a mixture of jojoba and emu oil and added emu oil to every product I had and I got the most growth ever in about four months (about 5 inches I think).

hmmm i was thinking about getting some of this oil, there is a website that sells a whole line of emu oil products, if u go to google and type in emu oil for hair growth it should come up
