If you call the company's customer service line they will put you in touch with a distributor in your area, who will then locate the nearest location/salon where you can buy the products. I just called this morning and found someone in my area. They were really helpful.

Does anyone know any salons in the DC, MD, or VA area that uses design essentials?

Edie: Yes. I sometimes go to the Hair Cuttery salon in the Bowie Town Center in Bowie, MD, and they use the DE relaxers. In fact, my stylist there was the one who first introduced me to the DE relaxer with Shea butter. I should have kept going to her and getting the DE shea butter relaxer.

I think I will switch back. I know that DE didn't burn as much as Affirm, and my hair was thicker.
