Which would would you go with? For those who have used both/know about both from others?

Thanks :)

i just ordered Design Essentials in Regular from Irbys frm 24.99..since i know more about that one and i havent really heard of Eluence that much...i really wanted the LoLye by Design Essentials with the Shea Butter but they didnt have that one..and since thats the only place(Irbys) i found that offers it...

Thanks. I'm still not decided. I will either order the DE or just add EVOO to the Mizani Regular I have since I find it a bit harsh on my scalp.

Yeah i was also undecided but finally just said since it was so so hard to get Design Essentials, looking at the time period that its been around, alot of people have raved about it(Lala's hair), and the price was half bad 24.99...and i never heard anyone having problems with it before...so that kind of made me decide to buy it...but i know i still have a tub of Affirm Mild left under my sink..that will probably last more than a couple of years...and now i have DE...man i should never have to go buy a relaxer....

I want to try both too. I kind of want to order the DE. I wonder how long they will be selling it.

A friend of mine has been using DE for about 10 years now. I guess it must be good...she still only uses DE.
I have Affirm mild under my sink too and some Mizani Regular (which was harsh...oy).
I think I will get it....why not. And it'll last many years so no need to worry about buying more for about 3-4 years..lol.

Which both? The Affirm and DE? After I try the DE I'll let you know which I liked more on my 4b/a hair

hey i just recd my DE in the mail that i ordered from Irbys on Monday...that was so so quick...im trying to see what else i need...but i maybe able to just use a regular conditioner, neutralizer shampoo and reconstructor instead of trying to get their products....because that means i will have to wait and probably order it before i can apply it...

I have a Design Essentials relaxer and I think it is wonderful. I think it is suppose to be in comparison with Mizani because my beautician uses both.

I hope it's not the same...the Mizani is too harsh imo

My hairdresser uses Design Essentials regular. I asked her about the shea butter version but she said that it just coats the hair and makes it harder for the hair to break down or straighten so she doesn't use it. Since she's doing my hair, that's what I'll be using.....

thanks Lala i was wondering about the LoLye(Shea butter version) and wondered if it would be gentle on my hair since i didnt see that they had a mild in DE...i usualy use a mild relaxer but ive used regular relaxers before...it doesnt take much to get my hair straight....i just have to pick up some neutralizer tonight.....

She uses the shampoo, conditioner and even setting lotion. I would think you should be able to use any neutralizing shampoo but alot of product lines supposedly work better if you use products from the same line with each other.

One the main things that I like about DE is that it doesn't burn like Affirm. It straightens fast and it gives your hair body that lasts. I also like the stimulating conditioner b/c it adds moisture and it's good if your hair is shedding. It also has a nice tingling sensation....

Where can I find Design Essentials Relaxer. I went to Irby’s website and don’t see it listed on the website.

go on the website and click products at the top of the list and it will rearrange and bring up another page and then click on Specials and it will bring up another page and it will list all the DE products..

does anybody know where I can order the Design Essentials relaxer besides irby's? They are sold out. Thanks!

Irby's is the only place we have found so far.

I ordered it but then got a credit. I wanted to use up what I had in my closet (Affirm Mild, Mizani Reg) before spending more money on more relaxers. I will try DE one day though...it sounds great.

Thanks anyway, a friend of mine wanted it but I guess we all went crazy and bought it all out!

Seems Irby's is NOT selling DE anymore ?? See this is why I was hesitant about getting it. When they cut the supply off then what ??

Lala would your hairdresser sell it to you ?? ;)
