I bought it now what do I do with it? It smells so good. What do you use it for? Do you use it on wet or dry hair? How often do you use it?

It has so many uses..

1) I use it sometimes when my hair is wet and Im going to do protective styling
2) As a daily moisturizer
3) to lay my hair down for a pony..

Its the Best!

Personally I like it on wet hair better, you get more mile for the buck (or whatever that saying is).

If I use it on dry hair I'll end up using twice as much, but it's still great.

I use mine on dry hair. I use it on my edges to smooth my hair down and i use it on my ends. (for the last 2 weekjs or so.) I really love it. But it does take a bit.

We need a bigger jar of this stuff QP!

I love it! I use mine at night daily as my moisturizer right before I roll my hair. If I'm having a "dry" day, I also seal it with jojoba oil. I have very dry hair and this is one of the things that's has helped me. It adds a nice shine and my BF loves the yummy smell!

I love it on wet hair. I used it when I was relaxed but still use it on my natural hair. I didn't like it on dry hair, it did nothing for my hair.

Thanks for all the replies. So if I use it on wet hair to slick back a bun I shouldn't need any gel right? That would be great.

I wonder how well it works on thin hair, too much or too heavy and there goes the hair. Plus my hair bairly hold a curl...

This might sound weird but, for me like some people this wasn't that great alone. However, if you use this as a 'base' for adding a bit of whichever butters and oils you have lying around ( I use coconut oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter) it's killer. But I wouldn't bother unless you have oils and butters lying around.

I agree. You need to add some other product too. It is a nice supporting moisturization but not as a main one.

QP Mango butter does do a good job replacing Gel for slicking hair back. It aslo has its down sides like Gel as well. I have reserved it for only special, I really want my hair slicked back, occasions. It does add high shine, almost like glass, but its not a moisture shine, its a weird dry shine, your hair could be shinin to high heaven and be dry as hell with that stuff. I suggest using it with an oil or with Recovery to downplay some of the downsides. It was formulated to be a heat protectant (says it on the jar) not really meant for daily use...my hair suffered with daily use, I would cry trying to get a comb through it lmao, but still put more on. I finally gave up the vicious cycle. Its best when used on wet hair (if you want to comb through it lol) mind you I used large amounts, so results for others may vary

LOL Lucia, I was just speakin on how I gave it up now too rotfl

but yeah here is the album with the 'glass slicked back look' Mango butter gives

I think I had Mango Butter in my hair (probably mixed with other stuff) in some of the bun pics too

That stuff is no joke! But the downsides arent either....sigh

Agreed!

I mean u can do it , but there will be downsides probably. Hell even with the oils and butters it has it downsides.....but is definitley cut some with use of them with it
