Okay, I've read alot of posts for the mango butter and am inclined to try it. I am 6months post relaxer and nothing seems to work for my hair as far as getting it smooth. I just have a couple of questions: is it okay to use the MB in the following manner: wash and condition hair, apply Surge, seal it with oil, then apply the MB on my hair and ends. Is this okay how do you guys use the butter? Can I put my leave-in first, then Surge then the MB, I am so confused as to how to achieve a smooth look. I dry my hair in a ponytail by the way. TIA

Well I dont use Surge so I dont know about that, but with me I apply my leave-in to freshly washed hair. Then I apply mango butter all over, if I have new growth Ill part with my fingers and apply the mango butter. I then apply it to the ends and spray with hot six oil, put in a bun and put on my scarf. Smooth hair everytime.

I use surge and mango butter. I spray surge only on my scalp. I use mango butter heavy on my ends for a braid out and sometimes lightly on my new growth. Your regimin sounds ok. Experiment and find what works for you.

Elasta QP products work great on my hair as soon as I finished with some of my products I am heading to the BSS to Feels like silk and the relaxed hair poo and cond

sorry that didnt answer your question the way I get the smooth look w/ Mango is to use the leave in fast and then use mango butter and/or blowout/airdired or do a braidout

I'm going to try using the MB on my braidouts because i'm not really too happy with the way it works on dry hair.

The directions do suggest that the MB is to be used on wet/damp hair anyway. We'll see how it works out.

i find that the mango butter worked better after i previously relaxed my hair, than when I had a ton of newgrowth. Like when i was 8 weeks and beyond, my hair just sucked it up, it was as if i didn't put anything in my hair. But, after my relaxer, when i applied it a week later, it moisturized fine.
