I think you should do a search because tons of women have commented on this product and gave us the good and not so good feedback on it. I saw it in the BS for the first time last week but didn't buy based on what I heard.
Honestly, it didn't do much of anything on it's own. If I mix it with a few dabs of other oils/ butters I have lying around ( like jojoba, coconut, castor, avocado, shea, etc.) and a little creamy conditioner with slip (not deep con. or too thick) it works beautifully on my ends. I also think it works better on wet hair. If you try it this way, just make sure not to put too much oil in it. I got the idea from someone who was on the board a long time ago so I can't take credit for it.
bumping 4 replies... so u guys recommend it with oils like jojoba and rosemary and Evoo thts wat i have but I head good thngs but now no responses so maybe i should just leave tht jar alone lol its just sitting here ummm well let me know I heard it gr8 4 ends need feedbaq
I use it on my ends too...It's good for sealing. I think the trick is to use it sparingly, though. Great smell. I'm sure there are other reviews here from way back, try searching. HTH
I love the stuff. I have 4b hair that gets rather dry and hard near the scalp a few days after washing and conditioning. In the past I would have used grease. However this replaces grease in that it has enough liquidity to soften and moisturize my hair. Enough oil to coat my hair. And it doesn't slowly run down my neck and face like pure liquid oil would. I use it for twists, and it gives my hair a nice hold and shine. I use it after a wash, in place of grease.
My daughter's hair is a 3c/4a type and this stuff does nothing for her. Her hair reponds to gel and oil mixture. Don't know why, just know what works for us. Jeve
I use it though not as much as I used to. Its now more in use as I stretch past the 8 week mark. Nickle size is enough to make my hair soft and happy. (more is generally not better)
Although I find it to be a little drying on my ends. I use Cantu Shea Butter for that and seal with Amla Oil. But for my edges/NEW GROWTH...I LOVE IT HANDS DOWN!
I use it as a daily as well. On my ends and thru out my hair. I havent tried while wet but a lot of people swear by it. It really thick and creamy and smells great
My hair loves this stuff. I use it on the entire length usually every other day. I also use it along my edges when I wear a bun or ponytail. It softens up my NG very well too.
When I first tried it I hated it because I used way too much. Now I just apply it in about dime sized amount and smooth it really well throughout my hair and it's great. It gives my hair sheen and makes it soft without weighing it down. Less is definately more with this product.
