I bought a jar of it today because I've read that some of you ladies like this stuff. How do you use it and does it help you maintain healthy hair?

That's one of the first things I bought after finding this Board, along with my beloved Elucence line. I use it for a nice, moisturizing deep conditioner. It's especially nice, for me, after a protein treatment. My hair comes out soft, detangled, and moisturized. I sometimes add a nice oil to it, evoo or castor, and then go under the dryer. :yep:

I love it! It has been one of my dc staples for several years now. I am natural. I mix about 1/4 cup conditioner with 2 tbls honey,1tbls coconut oil and 2 tsp of shea butter. I apply on dry hair, put on a shower cap, wrap that in saran wrap but a winter hat on and do my house work. I leave it in from 1 hr to overnight. It just depends on when I put it in my hair and how long I want to leave it in there. How it contributes to healthy hair? well I think that healthy hair starts with what you put in your body. hair once it hits the exterior is dead. you can make it look and feel better with topical products and try to prevent/minimize damage to it. I have found that my hair responds well to this conditioner. when it dries it dries very soft, and my hair is very stretchy (but again it's about what you put on your inside) and the price is right. I only pay $3 for the tub and it lasts me 3-4 dc sessions. Happy conditioning:)

I use it to dc/pre-poo on dry hair and cover with a plastic cap. My hair is softer since using this and I don't have to moisturize everyday.

I didn't like this conditioner AT ALL as a regular conditioner (gave me no slip and no moisture). Today I'm trying it as a prepoo on dry hair with castor oil. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I love this coniditioner, it definitely isn't one w/slip but my leave in detangles so it doesn't bother me. I use it to DC, I think EQP DPR-11 works best w/an oil added to it. I like to add amla oil to mine. It has helped my hair get strong and properly moisturized. I used it weekly 4 about a month b4 I saw noticeable differences.
