I use it for my ponytail airdrying. I put it on the front, side and back before tieing my hair with a silk scarf. I also use in on my dry hair but also just on the front, sides and back.

I use it on my roller sets and it does not make my hair hard at all. But then I really don't use much.

It can make your hair hard, but only if you use a WHOLE lot. I speak from experience, I was putting some on each piece before rollersetting to make my hair dry faster. And even then, it only dried a little crispy. I just squooze (is that a word?) the curls and it softened up, but use a moderate amount and my sets always turn out bouncy and very soft. Plus my hair dries in a decent amount of time.

I use this when I rollerset my hair with medium sized rollers and want my curls to stay as long as possible. It does make your hair a little crunchy when you first take the rollers out, but like someone else said, the crunch goes away once you squeeze the curls or pick them out.
