Real quick, y'all....

I'm getting ready to deep condition with this Elasta DPR for the first time.... It's thicker than other deep conditioners I've used before so I'm unsure about using it. Do I just scoop it out and apply? Do I microwave it to melt it a little? I usually apply deep conditioners with that relaxer brush for precision....

Thanks for responding....

Happy Saturday!

I just scoop out and apply most of the time.
I never microwave.
I like using the brush but I am to lazy most of the time.

Come back and let me know how you like it.

scoop it out and apply, if you sit under a dryer or heat cap with it the heat will help it melt through your hair.

Thanks for your responses. I did use the brush to put it on. I did comb it through as well. This stuff is quite thick! Thankfully it's not greasy; more like an emollient-type feel. I might have used too much. I have a cap on (not a heat cap, but it looks like I should invest in one).... Sounds like the key to this is to get it to melt... I am prepared to keep this cholesteral/foil cap on for 5-6 hours while I'm studying.... Is that alright?

Dang...still can't find this stuff around, lol.

Maybe you could order it online? I got mine from the local BSS but I'm working on weaning myself off of such places now....

Yeah, I could order it....I'm TRYING to do better though...

BUT if I do run into it in a store, I'd probably pic it up.

Update: I rinsed out this conditioner after about 5-6 hours w/a gold conditioning cap on and my hair felt so soft. I didn't know it could feel so soft. I put some Abba Nourishing leave in and as it started to dry, it dried soft and remained "comb-able", very easy to make parts for cornrows.

Two thumbs up!
