How are you using oil with MT?

Are you oiling first and then applying MT?

Are you diluting it? What's the ratio you use?

Which oils are you using?

HOW MANY INCHES ARE YOU GETTING??? :grin:
 
i add both to the applicator bottle.

i just mixed up some more last night cause i went through the first 4oz really quick (granted i have 3 heads i am megatekking but still)

the first time i did 4oz MT and maybe a few drops (20?) of oil, and this time i did 3oz MT and 1oz oil. i tell ya we used a lot less last night than the previous week.

of course i cant answer the inches question yet cause i started exactly 1 week ago but i put kinky twists in my hair and my sister's hair before we began and they are already looser (i did hers a little tight on purpose) and my mom's hair has gotten quite thicker at the roots, which is crazy cause she has very fine hair. i did her BC last night so i dont have accurate before/after pics till later tonight when i take pics of her TWA. well, her SL hair that shrinks to a TWA. lol
 
i dont use oil with mine but i know a lot of the people who do are applying the oil first and then the mt on top of it. i see a lot of evoo and jbco but im sure there are other oils too
 
I use it mixed with castor oil (walmart brand). I put it in a color applicator bottle with the tip. Then I apply small amount to my scalp at night. I cw in the morning.

I do not know the exact amount of growth. It looks like an inch, maybe a little more to me. I'm not for sure. I've been using it for about a month.

I use castor oil and vitamin E oil (equal amounts), and a total of 1 part oil to 3.5/4 parts MT, pre-mixed.

Getting about 3/4 inch a month.

You thinking about starting to use it, ST?
 
I do a 50/50 mix of MT and castor oil.
I apply it to my scalp with my fingers after washing.
I am getting about an inch per month.
This reminds me that I need to upload my progress shots when I get home. Q
 
I ordered it whether I will use it or not... still up in the air.

I was concerned about the ingredients, but actually they are not that bad...

No worse than my herbal essence or suave stuff...

but it seems like a lot of trouble to oil and then MT...

I wouldn't be consistent if I had to do ALL-O-THAT

so much about)... with your streamlined technique...

I would totally dilute it with coconut & castor oil .. put in applicator bottle

and call it a day...

Oh, yeah - I'm too impatient to do the two step... :nono: I premix a couple of months worth of MT in a tub at a time, and roll on - it makes it so much easier, which makes it so much more likely that I'll actually DO it, ya know?
The only thing I'm considering tweaking are my proportions - maybe going 1 part to 5/6 parts, or something like that, ya know? My main concern is to not dilute it TOO much, but still add enough oil to it to make it a little thinner/more soluble, ya know?
 
Can someone please post a pic of the bottle or give me the exact name. I looked at the Mega T UK website and they only had a rinse out conditioner for human's.
Are you applying this to your scalp and not rinsing?
 
The exact name (and the bottle) actually varies, depending on the website.

LondonDiva was raving about one particular company that treated her (and other European ladies) really well - I'll see if I can dig up the name.

Most of us are using Mega-Tek Equine Rebuilder or Mega-Tek Cell Rebuilder. Usually a black bottle with blue writing.

ETA: it was Tailgator - not sure if it's .com or .uk - google should help with that. :yep:

i'm on my moms laptop, i had the link for the SAA on my laptop

i use emu oil with mines now :)
 
Thanks for bringing up this topic. I just received my Gro-Aut and Bhringraj oil today and Mega-Tek last week. I have no idea how to intergrate them all. I didn't know that you could mix them. Any more suggestions for the products I have?
