In my search of healthier hair, I came across the following information.
Found this interesting read.
It may also explain why some ladies experienced accelerated hair growth thy started eating eggs on a regular basis.
I'm having 1-2 eggs, 5 days per week, as part of my hair regimen for the next 3 months. I'll let you know if I experience additional hair growth to my current rate. Starting Monday the 11th of September.
It looks as if an egg a day is like "a mini Multiple vitamin" in and of its self.:)

Apparent discrepancies in nutrient levels between the white+yolk vs. the whole egg are due to sampling error.

Eggs are even better and healthier when you buy the organic ones WITH more Omega-3, the healthier fat!

Yup. I was just going to suggest this, or the free-range eggs. They taste better, too. Although they cost a bit more.

I want to point out though, that if your diet is already pretty healthy, meaning you are consuming adequate amounts of important nutrients, then you may not see a jump in hair growth. I'd wager that those missing these nutrients in their diets now would see the biggest difference. Like myself, I usually eat 6-10 eggs a week. I probably wouldn't benefit from eating more.

:lick: Also, eggs have sulfur (which supports the protein in our hair) and biotin. I eat two eggs with fruit every other morning.

I just started eating 2 eggs per day. After I threw away a carton of expired eggs last week, I realized I should of been eating eggs for growth in the first place.

i ate a lot of eggs during the past 6 months or so.. it was moreso to have a healthier breakfast but i can see where it probably helped my hair growth... i hardboil them and eat the whites only... 3 per day...

Mmmm!!!! Eggs are so good! I love to eat scrambled eggs and grits for breakfast.

My only concern in increasing the eggs in my regimen would be the cholesterol factor. Does anyone know if you get all the same nutrients by eating just the whites alone?

Since I have changed my eating patterns and decided to eat cleaner, I will eat eggs more often. I really don't like eggs, but I know that they are a great source of protein.

I know they are good for hair and skin, especially egg whites. A lot of fitness competitors eat eggs and look at their hair and skin, very healthy.

Does anyone have a good egg recipe that does not include cheese? I don't eat cheese, especially with eggs. I don't like either, but I need to get more protein so I need a good, simple recipe.

Thanks.

thanks for posting this...i love eggs, but don't always have time to fix them everymorning ~ (until now that is)
