East African vs West African shea butter

Well, I've never used the east african shea butter...the website makes it sound real good though..lol. I have used West african shea butter from either Ghana or Togo and personally I prefer the butter from Togo. It has a nicer smell, a smoother texture and it's not hard like some butters I've gotten from Ghana. It also absorbs better IMO. I think for the basic properties of shea butter, where it's from doesn't make as much different....but little things like the smell & texture, if you can just buy a small quantity to test it first, that would be the best thing.

I get mines from www.afrikanrepublic.com :)

Sorry I don't know which place is better, but I have tried Nasabb's shea butter, black soap, and kelechi hair oil. Nasabb will ship samples to try before you invest in the full size products. The shea butter is thick, but it helps my extremely dry skin. Go to http://www.nasabb.com and you will find a lot of helpful info.
