then everytime I get a touch up...the minimum would be 14 weeks then....
I touch up at the 14-16 week point.
OK is't it better to get it done when our hair is straight as possible so how often are you relaxing or does it not matter since you are doing DB/webby said:1/8 - 1/4 of an inch is a dusting. Frequency depends on how well your ends hold up.
It doesn't matter whether or not your hair is straight, however I prefer to get mine done when I'm freshly blow dried. What I meant by frequency is dependent, is that if your ends don't get raggady after 8 - 10 weeks, and you want to try to hold out, no problem. But for me, I notice a huge difference if I wait longer than 10 weeks. I end up having to have more cut off.sweetpeadst said:OK is't it better to get it done when our hair is straight as possible so how often are you relaxing or does it not matter since you are doing DB/

Did that make sense?

Trimming that often is great if you are maintaining a cut, but when you are trying to retain length...get dustingssweetpeadst said:Yeah it makes since!! When I was getting my hair trimmed every 6 weeks along time ago my ends looked great!!! So I think I will go for every 9 weeks and get a dusting!!! Instead of doing no trims!!!

And if my method doesn't work for you...keep tweaking and adjusting until you find what works for YOUsweetpeadst said:Yeah that is why I am going to try your method!!!!
I just avoid direct heat on the ends (no blow drying the ends). I use a decent leave-in and if I do a co-wash-n-air-dry, I dampen my hair before combing to prevent snapping. That has worked for me.sweetpeadst said:I will Webby!! What fo you do to care for your ends??
