Dudley's Creme Press.....anyone used it before?

If so, what do you think of it? I saw it today when I purchased my Keracare at Smart Styles. I've heard of it being used to press hair out, but wanted to get some opinions from you guys regarding it's quality/performance before I make an impulsive purchase the next time I'm in there.

It's an okay product, but not spectacular. I used to use it when I pressed my hair. It's kind of like a pressing wax, but leaves the hair much silkier and boucier. If you use it, only a tiny bit is required; otherwise, it will weigh the hair down. Also, I would still use a heat protectant.

I still have some in my cabinet, though I don't use heat anymore. However, it's great product to smooth flyaways and to protect my edges and ends during cold winter months without weighing it down. HTH!

I used to use a while back. I didnt use it by the directions per se but I would put some (a little) on my ends every night before wrapping and i loved how it made my ends feel the next morning. (which was smooth-like).

Hopefully someone else has some opinions, but thanks for the input girls!! I was trying to make a comparison between Dudley's Creme Press and Aveda's Anti-humectant Creme. I've heard people's opinions about both, but I wanted to know which one would be the better pick. I know Aveda's a little bit more on the expensive side, and I don't want to waste money on Dudley's if it's not worth it.

I use it or should I say my mom uses it when she flatirons my hair. She also uses it on her hair and she loves it. I like it too but not like she does. If you don't want to spend a lot of money you can try Ultra Sheen's Satin Creme Press......it's suppose to be similar but I haven't tried it but I am thinking about it though. HTH

It's great for flat ironing, if you just use a little bit.

I used it before when I was relaxed and it made my hair greasy and weighed it down. I probably used too much. I think I still have it around here somewhere.

Okay, I think I'll just stick to my Redken Heat Glide for now. I don't flat iron that much and when I do, this humidity destroys all of my work and efforts, so I really haven't flat ironed more than once all summer. Thanks for the help ladies!!

I like it, it's not a staple for me though. I use it when I flat iron especially in the summer months. A little does go a long way so if you use too much your hair will feel weighed down.

I think I've made up my mind not to wast my money on Dudley's, and I'll just stick with my good ol' Heat Glide.

Yeah, I would definitely not waste my money on Dudley's, and I agree Aveda is way expensive. I'm sure you can find something just as good as Aveda without the hefty price. Matrix Biolage has an excellent creme that can be used for pressing AA hair; I think it cost about $13.99.

I used it when I had longer natural hair to press and it is excellent. A little dab will do ya so do not get heavy-handed or you will be weighed down.

You can return it and get your money back if you don't like it. Just keep your receipt.

As long as it is an Aveda store you should be straight.

I have used it and I like it. The key to remember is, A little bit goes a long way. If you use to much, you will end up with limp, weighed down, greasy hair. If you are heavy handed (I am normally) stay away from this product. You are just going to make one big greasy mess. BIG NO NO. (yes, I speak from experience.)
