Hey yall I am really tempted to buy one of those hair dryers attached with the chair like you sit in at the salon. I saw one at Sally's. No I'm not a hair-stylist but I would love to be able to sit in one after I rollerset my hair. I have one of the bonnet dryers but I find it a hassle to deal with and its not big enough for all my rollers on my big head. Am I out of my mind for wanting one? Somebody talk me out of this.

Probably not what you want to hear, but that may not be a bad idea. How much does it cost and where would you keep it in your house?

I can't talk you out of it... because I've been looking at the same one. :yep:
I even found some on eBay. I reeaalllyy want one too. :look:

Well, at least I don't feel like I'm the only one. I looked on E-bay and if I get the one from sally's I'd be spending a lil over $300 but at least I wouldn't have to pay shipping. I would put it in my spare bedroom probably. But it would be so nice to really take my hair into my own hands. I hate being dependent on hair stylists and to their schedules. I mean its gonna cost a grip but I spend that at the salon if I go 4 times. I look foward to wrapping my own hair and rollersetting with out the bonnet hair dryer falling on my head!

The shipping cost is the only reason I don't have one right now. Then, I saw one in Sally about two days ago. Now, I'm trying to figure out if it will fit in my car. I love rollersets, but my cheap hooded dryer isn't cutting it (or that's what I'm telling myself to justify this purchase). ;)

I bought a rolling one that you sit behind a chair off of ebay. Being as though I live in college apartments with other youngins, somone leaned on it and cracked the peice that holds it on the pole, I glued it and it was good again, but the same dumbbooty leaned on it again, now it is ruined. good thing is it was only 50 dollars.

Ok ladies... its $300 bucks exactly and the lady at Sally's told me it would be a waste of money and I should get the once with the wheels that is on a pole cause its like $129 bucks. The sale ends at the end of the month. But I really want the whole thang. :ohwell: I got a week left to decide....

Princess Pie: I don't know how I'll get it in my either!!!

I can't blame you. I want one too. I want one of the turbo ones that dries rollersets in 30-45 min. :) :look: I think that when I get rich, I'm gonna have a special room where I can do my hair. (Kind of like Mariah Carey) The chair is gonna be so comfortable. There's gonna be a tv in there and a stand for my laptop so that I can keep busy while I'm drying, etc. I'll even be able to access LHCF from there. I'll have a fridge in there too for certain hair products. :lachen: I need help.

you are too funny! I thought you would say the fridge is for refreshments while you dry your hair.

This is my dream! I also want one of those sink/chair combos like at the salon... even though I wash my hair in the shower. :perplexed

I have this one and I love it. It has 3 settings too..:)

I have one and I absolutely LOVE it!! My husband bought it for me as a gift from one of his friends who owned a barbershop. He sold it to him for $120. I use it quite freqently, it was worth every penny. I would check the newspapers. People are always selling salon equipment.

You guys must have been reading my mind because I was thinking of buying the same thing!

Mahogany, what brand do you have?

Okay here is the dumb *** question of the day. HOw would you wash your hair like that if your doing it yourself?

I like those too but not practical for me at all.

my suggestion is to search the classifieds. Also hunt down salons that are going out of business. Save your money. :yep: good luck!

In my dream I have someone come to my house to shampoo my hair. Seriously, I would love to have a room in my house set up like a mini salon... but it'll never happen. The dryer with chair is more practical, so I'll eventually get that.
