i used it this weekend after finding a distributor right down the street from me. i got the: Organic Cleanse Deep Cleansing Shampoo,Moisture Retention Conditioning Shampoo, Stimulations Super Moisturizing Conditioner , Express Instant Moisturizing Conditioner,Therapeutics Rx Leave-In Conditioner, and Silk Essentials. I used the silk essentials when i was flat ironing , but i dont think it works well for me as a thermal protectant. my hair is a mess :( im taking back my flat iron as well because it starting smoking on 300 degrees ( Salon creations = flat iron from hell).
i ended up just using the moisture shampoo , protein treatment with miss keys , and then put on the express instant con. <<<that stuff does just what it says . nice slip and i left it on without heat , so i imagine it will feel even better w/heat. then i put on the leave in. best leave in ive tried so far. right now im dealing w/ hair crisis cause of the flat iron, otherwise heres a pic of what my hair looked like right after the intial straightening and a few pincurls :

Glad you like this line :)

Can you post the ingredients of the express conditioner? I am on the fence a/b this line b/c Stimulations has mineral oil in it, and didn't work for me b/c of that. I love the shampoo and the nutriment hairdress though. I thought the leave-in (therapeutics) was ok.

I love the shampoos too. I haven't tried anything else though.

I love the shampoo and conditioner. This is the best line for me right now since I've been transitioning.

i dont have the ingredients w/ me but i saw that too in the stimulations con. my stylist uses it tho, so i thats the reason i knew it would work for my hair (4b relaxed). the express doesnt have mineral oil in it, but it does have some form of alcohol in it ( i remembered because i compared both of them to each other when i read the labels and those were the things i looked for). the express works great for me it truly does. my hair was so soft

Very nice. I love the shine.

What's the name/address of your distributor? Your hair looks great! I use the relaxer and love it but need to find somewhere to get the other products. I got my relaxer on Ebay but can't seem to find any other products there.

I just got up on the Design Essentials. I have been wanting to try the line for a long time. I used the Gentle Cleansing poo and the Stimulations Super Moisturizing Conditioner. Off the hook!!!!! I can't wait to try more of the products. I think I may place a little order right now :shopping:. See ya!!!

When you get a chance, could you check and see which kind of alcohol? It could be a good fatty one or bad drying one...That'll help me decide if I want to give DE another go 'round...

Thanks! :)

I LOVE Design Essentials. My old hairdresser would use it on my hair. I could never find the products. That seemed to be one of the only products that was not sold on the black market in the BSS. I eventually had to settle on KeraCare, but when I wear my hair out again I am definitely going to try and find a distributor in my area.

If you ever get a chance to, try out the 6 in 1 reconstructor....it really gives your hair a nice moisture/strength balance.

Girl, my hair cannot get enough of Design Essentials!! My hair turns out on a whole 'nother level when I use the moisture retention and stimulations condish combo! My profile pic was taken right after using the DE combo. Yor hair looks great, BTW. Very nice shine.

i called their number 770-981-8722 (toll free : 800.535.8683) and asked if they have any salons that sell it in my area. then i gave her my zip , she looked it up and gave me his number and then i called him

yep, that what i was trying to get my hands on but they didnt have it, either that or she only sells it to stylists. i shoudve fibbed and told them i do hair

I just called the DE 800 number to find a vendor in my area. She asked me if I was a licensed cosmetologist..... do you have to have a license in order to buy from the vendor/distributor?? :nono: I hope not..

Yeah when I called the guy gave me attitude b/c I wasn't a stylist. He was trying to send me all over the place to buy stuff. Mind you, I live in ATL and that's where DE is manufactured!! I said, "If I order from you directly, won't I get it sooner?" and he was like no, it takes longer

He gave me salon addressess, and they had some of the products, but not all. So I ended up ordering online (discount beauty). I'm sad though, cuz after all that work tracking these products down, I really wanted everything to work out w/DE. :ohwell: Oh well, that's what the Product Exchange Board is for :yep:

im all late lol. dang , why they gotta do it like that? they asked me the same thing but they asked me do i need professional or retail. the place i went to was a salon and i take it they only sell the professional stuff to licensed stylists. i wonder if the ingredients in the poos are different ? hmmm. i shouldve told her yes and that i left my license at home
