I got a touch up at a dominican salon a few weeks ago and before she did my rollerset, she used something out of a white jar that said "straightening wax" but the majority of the jar was in Spanish. Does anyone know the full name of this product and where I can purchase? Also does anyone have experience with it? ( I forgot to ask her about it)

My hair dresser uses Kuz on me. Honestly, I didn't notice a real difference versus her not using the Kuz. It's from an Italian company. You can probably find it at a BSS that caters to Blacks and/or Hispanics.

Maybe your stylist uses it to her advantage. It could make your hair more manageable. I don't know. :spinning:

I really did not like this product. My hairdresser at a dominican salon put this on my hair once when it was blownout (right before wrapping it) and it left my hair feeling really greasy. The next time she tried to put it in I asked her not to. A few weeks back she put it on my hair while it was wet, and I did not object because I thought maybe it worked better on wet hair. My hair has never felt so stiff and non-soft/smooth as it did after that blowout. The good thing is that it seemed to resist humidity better. But I will make sure to never use it again.
